Limited range & incongruous rolling stock
Limited range,
Trains go to Manchester but not Bristol which would be so useful. Also lines are often really congested (especially the Marches). The rolling stock feels really cheap at times. The renovations have been quite nice but we still have to use awful trains about 50% of the time… and congested ones about 70% of the time. The cancellations are really awful. I’ve had to wait about an additional 2hrs at New Inn a lot of the time because of cancellations. Has potential but really needs to be made to an excellent standard for everyone.

Tonypandy to Cardiff never runs
Tonypandy to Cardiff never runs. For over a year now it’s replacement buses and cancelled services, work on the line, “improvements to line”, too windy, no staff, only other option is a 2 hour bus. Someone needs step in and sort TFW out it’s an absolute joke of a service.
Transport For Wales & Half Of England Disappoints Again
I am reliant on Transport for Fails to get to work. Arrived at the train station on Thursday, only for some bloke to shout “there’s no trains mate” whilst he was gritting the staircase leading to the other platform. No advice regarding alternative travel arrangements (i.e. any replacement buses), just those 4 words. Well that’s some great customer service, “mate”.
He was right, admittedly. When I checked the train times later, I was shocked to see that every train from the first train at 5/6AM until about 4PM that afternoon had been cancelled (they weren't on strike during this day, in case you thought that might be it). I checked Transport for Wales's Twitter, which seemed to say that there would be replacement buses. However, there was no information regarding replacement buses on the national rail website. Thanks for making me lose a day's wages from your own incompetence. This company isn't fit to have Wales in it's name. Surprised they haven't lost the franchise yet, for bringing Wales into disrepute with the service they provide.
Finally, I saw somebody say “bring back Arriva” in one of their reviews. Believe me, Arriva were just as bad.

Absolute shambles
Absolute shambles. Always late, always overcrowded (never more than 2 or 3 carriages at peak times). Expensive. Don’t understand how a company can be run so incompetently.

2 Carriages Only?
I have used TFW from Crewe to Manchester on various occasions recently. Whilst the trains have been on time, they are frequently over crowded to the point where it appears to be dangerous. Why only two carriages for such a busy service?
Dedicated guards on Cambrian Line. Guards are essential part of passenger care.
The journey was difficult as a result of flooding leading to two bus replacements but it all ran very smoothly and the staff were al friendly and helpful with the various changes. When I accidentally left my laptop at Tywyn station the guards on the Cambrian line were exceptionally helpful in retrieving it and went way beyond what might have been expected of them. Can't thank them enough ....such care for their passengers' welfare and wellbeing.

Collapsed system!
Excuse me, your trains are unpredictable! The display doesn't even show the trains coming in 10 mins. So how can I go to the station hoping to get to work in time if it changes in the last minute?! Be reasonable!
If I will not get airport in time I…
If I will not get airport in time I hope you all will burn in the hell. Strikes... You don't deserve the money you get, lazy asses who dont do work properly. Sell tickets then cancel the train... Don't even dream about salary increase, you never deserved
A simple journey from Cardiff Central…
A simple journey from Cardiff Central to Lisvane - announcement made to go to the Penarth service - get to the platform as a gentleman working there for help and he advised my journey was not his problem! Incredibly rude and disappointed in the service

Probably the worst rail service in UK.
Probably the worst rail service in UK.
Chronically mismanaged outfit - even the ticket office in Crewe shake their heads and nervously laugh in dispair when another train cancels. Obviously they are supposed to offer an alternative but every time I approached the ticket office in Crewe they told me there was nothing.
Notoriously bad service.
Appalling service
Appalling service, been canceled for days, when finally running it's half an hour late on a damp cold day and they offered no explanation let alone compensation.

Dreadful Whitchurch to Manchester &…
Dreadful Whitchurch to Manchester & back cancelled again, & at peak time How does this company stay in business. 13 years of these clowns ruining our lives. The Welsh should stop trying to persevere with a nonsense language & road signs & learn to prosper in the real World.
Unsafe, Absent and on borrowed time.
I have complained directly to TFW and thought I would pop on here to see the general opinion in case I was expecting too much. It appears everyone feels the same however. I couldn't tell you the last time I managed to get a seat on a TFW service, normally standing up for over two hours if needing to get to Manchester. The Manchester service on 3rd December was on a level I have never experienced before. If you are going to cram people into 2 carriages, you need to have staff at stations or on board to monitor the situation and say enough is enough. There always seems to be a collection of TFW trains sat at Chester off main tracks, never used.

Worst Train Service I’ve Ever Experienced
Visiting from London to see family in Abergavenny, every experience I’ve had with the trains to and around the area have been absolutely awful. I’m in shock that this is what is delivered from a country that doesn’t constitute as third-world. The people in charge should lose their jobs, and maybe the surplus cash could be used to get an extra carriage on every train.
